Readings that have already taken place

On Monday, April 27, 2009, at 8:00 P.M., Joan will read with poet Anne Marie Macari at Blacksmith House, 56 Brattle Street, Harvard Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

She'll also participate in two NYC events:

On Thursday, April 23, 2009, at 7:00 P.M., Saint Peter’s Church (619 Lexington Ave. at 54th St., Manhattan), a free evening of readings and reminiscence to celebrate the anthology Poems from the Women's Movement, edited by Honor Moore. Participants include Erica Jong, Susan Griffin, Toi Derricotte, Eileen Myles, Fran Winant, Jean Valentine, and Anne Waldman

On Friday, April 24, 2009, at 6:30 P.M., Joan will read at the NYC LGBT Center, 208 West 13th Street (between 7th and 8th Aves.), Manhattan, along with poets Eileen Myles, Ilene Starger, and Phyllis Witte, plus music by Reuben Butchart, followed by a screening of a portion of Janice Wilde's documentary film "A Fortunate Life –– The Story of Urva K." This event is a fundraiser for the completion of the film.
